Where Strengths Turn Into Opportunity: Meet Jackie Schletty

When Jackie Schletty joined Red Wing seven years ago, she was looking for an opportunity to grow professionally while being closer to the people and community that matter most to her. What she found was a career path she never expected—one shaped by new opportunities, continuous growth, and the support to pursue strengths she didn't yet realize would define her work.

Family is at the heart of Jackie’s life. When she’s not at work, you’ll likely find her outdoors with her husband and son, fishing, gardening, or simply enjoying a day outside in their backyard. Becoming a parent gave her a new perspective on what matters most, and today she takes just as much pride in being a mom as she does in the career she’s built.

“I remember when I was interviewing, they talked a lot about the culture,” Jackie says. “it almost seemed too good to be true.”

What began as a financial analyst role evolved into opportunities she never planned for. After several years, she was invited to join the Revenue Operations team, a function she admits she knew very little about at the time.

For Jackie, that’s one of the things that makes Red Wing unique. Rather than expecting employees to follow a predetermined path, leaders take the time to understand individual strengths and help identify opportunities where those strengths can make the greatest impact.

“Red Wing looks at your qualities and your strengths and suggests opportunities you might not have considered yourself.”

Just as important as the opportunities themselves was the environment in which Jackie has been able to grow. Early in her career, she often found herself working alongside people with significantly more work experience. At Red Wing, she found a culture where an individual’s expertise mattered more than the length of time they had been employed, and where trust was earned through contribution. As a young professional in a highly analytical field, she felt respected, heard, and given the opportunity to prove herself. The collaborative culture allowed her to focus on learning, building relationships, and expanding her impact across the organization.

Support Beyond the Workplace

Jackie’s career growth at Red Wing coincided with another life-changing milestone: becoming a parent. Today, she describes being a mom as the role she is most proud of.

Returning to work after maternity leave brought new challenges and a new perspective. What stood out most was the support she received during the transition.

“Red Wing gave me the time I needed to adjust.”

Rather than expecting her to immediately jump back into a full workload, her team gave her the space to ease back into work and find a new balance between career and family. Small details, like a dedicated mothers’ room designed with working parents in mind, reinforced the company’s commitment to supporting employees through different stages of life.

Today, she continues to value the trust and flexibility that allow her to be present both as a parent and as a professional.

“The flexibility to manage my work independently, along with knowing that my boss trusts me to get the job done, is extremely important to me.

A Culture Built on Opportunity

When Jackie reflects on her journey, one theme stands out: opportunity.

She believes Red Wing gives employees a level playing field and the opportunity to grow. What happens next is up to each individual. For those who are self-motivated, curious, and willing to put in the work, the possibilities are significant.

“They give you that opportunity, but it is up to the person to be the one to put the work in and prove themselves.”

For Jackie, that combination of support, trust, and opportunity has led to a career path she never could have planned, but one that feels right.

And that’s what makes Red Wing, Red Wing.
