This past week, we underscored our commitment to global service and local impact. From Red Wing to Dubai, Houston to Aberdeen and everywhere in-between, 664 employees engaged in 29 activities, tallying a collective 1,328 hours during our 2024 Day of Service.  In addition to that, more than 200 Red Wing shoe stores participated in our retail food drive during the week – collecting and donating food to their local foodbank.

Earth Week coincides with National Volunteer Week and this Earth Day, we reflect on our lasting impact on the planet and places we work and live. Beyond fostering camaraderie, volunteers dedicated 202 hours to environmental organizations and community cleanups.

Jason Jech, Executive Director of the Environmental Learning Center in Red Wing commends one volunteer group’s efforts: “Their impact in just one day is nothing short of miraculous. What would have taken us weeks, they achieved with passion, dedication, and a genuine spirit of service in just hours.”

Employees picked up litter, prepped outdoor camps, painted community centers, beautified local parks and trails, fed those in need, walked dogs, loved cats, built homes, assembled summer kits for kids, and wrote thank you letters to those deployed.

To us, this Day of Service means doing right by people and the planet — a principle deeply embedded in our history. We strive to be the best possible company, making a difference in lives worldwide.  As we look ahead, inclusivity remains our focus, ensuring all employees can contribute to make a lasting impact for generations to come.
